Elizabeth (Zielke) Statham was born in 1936 on a farm near New Osgoode, Saskatchewan. Although largely self-taught, she took some lessons from Bob Chin and Hans Herold after moving to Saskatoon. later, she moved to Lumsden where she continued to paint and taught some private classes. In Regina, she has had solo exhibitions at the Gallery on the Roof and the Arlington Art Galle1y, and participated in Bazaart and the Boma Art show. She received several private commissions and has had work accepted for various juried exhibitions. She was a member of the Regina Federation of Artists. She currently lives in Regina.
