Harry Britton was born at Cambridge, England, in 1878 and came to Canada in 1881. He studied under F. McGillivray Knowles in Toronto, at Heatherley' s School of Art, London, and the London Art School. In 1925, he moved to Nova Scotia and returned to Toronto in 1935. He died in 1958.
